With an estimated population of more than 380,000 in 2007, Prince William County is one of Virginia’s largest counties and is part of the Washington D.C. Metropolitan Area. Originally, Prince William County was a rural community with a very small population of suburban residents. However, as developers began building incredible communities throughout the county in the mid 1900’s its population began to swell.  Rich in history and providing an abundance of entertainment and recreational options to families and individuals, its no wonder so many people continue relocating to Prince William County even today.



Marine Corps Base Quantico is located in Prince William County, Virginia. It covers more than 100 square miles of the county and is home to more than 12,000 military and civilian personnel. The FBI Academy is also located in Prince William County. It opened in the summer of 1972 and now provides safe and private means to train police professionals from all over the United States.


You’ll also find many shopping opportunities in the county including Potomac Mills Mall and many Old Town shopping areas. Additionally, each community within Prince William County offer a myriad of parks and recreational opportunities to keep your family active and outdoors whether you enjoy golfing, hiking, swimming, or boating.
