A Loudoun County treasure, the rural atmosphere of Purcellville provides picturesque views and beauty for all its residents to enjoy. It is located just 9 miles west of Leesburg, Virginia.

Many of the downtown structures were destroyed by fire in the early 1900’s; however, older structures still exist downtown that reveal Purcellville’s history through their Victorian architecture. One of the town’s main attractions is certainly the Purcellville Train Station that includes a visitor center and museum. Many W&OD trail users are also able to use its restroom facilities.

Today, Purcellville is a growing community with plenty of restaurant and shopping options for visitors and residents alike. Restaurants in Purcellville are plentiful. Some of the local favorites include Market Street Coffee, Pen’s Oriental Kitchen, Cate’s Restaurant, Breezeway Grill, and The Grille at Main Street Station. If you are a lover of antiques, Purcellville will capture your heart. There are numerous antique stores in Purcellville including Antiques Unusual, Carousel Antiques, Irene Mary Antiques, Iron Gate Antiques, Mary Ellen Stover Antiques, and Ray Fields Antiques, all of which offer unique items for sale to add to your collection. There are also plenty of other shopping opportunities for locals and visitors to Purcellville including a Farmer’s Market in the Historic District.

It’s fun being a kid in Purcellville too! The Purcellville Teen Center is a non-profit corporation that relies solely on the adults within the community to offer of their time freely to supervise operations at the center every Friday night all year long. The center opened in March of 2005 and has been a great addition to the Purcellville community. Middle School students may visit the center from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm while High School students are invited to use the center from 9:00 pm to 11:00 pm each Friday. Admission to the center is free for everyone with nominal fees for soft drinks, hot dogs, candy, and pizza. There are annual dances including the St. Patrick’s Day Dance in March and the School’s Out Summer Dance in June. Some of the activities that you’ll find kids participating in at the Purcellville Teen Center include:
